There is so much to know about the Old West that we won't pertend to be experts on it. Fortunately, Interweb is chock full of good information. We will provide links to the best pages we have found to help you get up to snuff.

Face Markings - This is a pretty handy site if you are new to horses and this page in particular gives some dandy illustrations of horses face markings.

Civil War Tax Archives - Despite what you may have been taught, all wars are about money, especially the Civil War. In addition to instituting martial law in the North and temporarily repealing the Bill of Rights, Lincoln used the War of Secession as an excuse to institute a wide range of taxes, including the first Income Tax, that were, although officially "emergency" taxes, were perpetuated for ten years past the end of the war.

Gutshot - Gutshot is a Western miniatures game designed by my good friend Michael T. Murphy. It won an Origins award in 2006. The best thing about this game is the pictures of me scattered throughout the book.
Knuckleduster - this is site that sells western miniatures and rules. These things look great and I am going to order some soon. I have ordered some of their other products and will review them as soon as they come in.
Aces & Eights, from Kenzer & Co. - This is the best looking role-playing game every published. It seems to have been modeled after the Time-Life Old West series of books and is filled with period photography and artwork. The rules are a little convoluted and strange - these are, after all, the people who created Hack Master, but this book deserves a place on your shelf.
